Installation notes
WARNING
Backup your website files and database before the installation.
1. Backup all the files and database
2. Unpack the Strype package to the directory where your Zen Cart is installed
3. Log into the admin area
4. Go to the
Tools->
Template Selection
5. Click on the ‘Classic Contemporary Green’ template name
6. Select template from ‘Strype’ set for the selectbox on the right and click on the ‘Update’ button
7. Go to the
Tools->
Layout Boxes Controller
8. Click on the ‘Reset’ button on the bottom
9. Go to the
Extras->
Strype Set
10. Click on the ‘Apply settings for template’ button (this is ‘One-click template configuration’)
11. Enjoy
You can configure template using Tools->Layout Boxes Controller and
Configuration->Layout settings sections in the admin area.
How to configure Strype Template flash banner shown on the home page
WARNING
This option works for template version 1.1 only released 31 Jan 2010. Be sure that Strype template is activated for the customers area in the Tools->Template selection page of admin back-end.
1. Find the ‘strype_banner.xml’ file in your root Zen Cart directory
2. Open it with text editor
3. Specify image source by changing the 'url_pic' parameter in item tag
4. Specify banner URL by changing the 'url' parameter in item tag
5. Change the number of images shown in the banner by adding or deleting item tags
How to remove default Strype Template flash banner from the home page
WARNING
This option works for template version 1.1 only. Be sure that Strype template is activated for the customers area in the Tools->Template selection page of admin back-end.
1. Log into the admin area
2. Go to the Tools->Define Pages Editor
3. Select 'define_main_page.php' value for the 'Define Pages Editor for:' field
4. Remove the following code from text input area:
